Membership Criteria, Roles and Responsibilities

Membership in the Global ROI Forum is solely by invitation and at the discretion of the steering committee. In keeping with the organization's vision and priorities, there is a maximum size of 50 senior leaders who are invited to participate in approximately three gatherings a year.

ROI Communication will be the Global ROI Forum facilitator and a participating member. As the facilitator, ROI Communication is responsible for managing logistics and operational activities, including networking opportunities, periodic gatherings at member companies' sites and other activities or initiatives deemed worthwhile by the group.

The individual senior internal communication leader of his or her organization will hold membership as long as he or she meets the original selection criteria, which are as follows:

  • A senior internal communication position at a large organization that meets the guideline of approximately 20,000 or more employees
  • The ability and willingness to share their experience and views candidly with their colleagues
  • The willingness and ability to participate in at least one ROI Forum event a year
  • A deep interest in the practice and profession of internal communication in large organizations

Any change in employment that is contrary to those criteria will require the member to resign from Global ROI Forum membership. The objective here is to ensure that the group continues to be as originally constituted from large, complex organizations with similar problems and needs.

Consultants and vendors, other than the founding members, will not be eligible for Global ROI Forum membership. The objective is to keep commercialization out of the proceedings. The founding members pledge to keep their role non-commercial.

This Charter will be regarded as a living document that can be modified by the Global ROI Forum steering committee at the discretion and pleasure of the membership.
